UbranImpressionist I didn't know you could draw? I went to your website and saw a painting
of San Diego and i have seen it before on the internet and that paint got me to start drawing in the beginning. Nice one

My latest nod to Spencer's models:

The MetLife Building with Grand Central Station (made up of 6,271 pieces)

Check this out here once it's moderated. I did it the same way Spencer did. Thanks for showing me the inside at Brickworld!

It's got a ton of really nice techniques using various technic elements. I also had fun figuring out how to get glass behind the grill tiles between the arches of Grand Central Station.

Good work. RJB001, I noticed your brickshelf page has a model of LA's US bank tower and the Chicago BoT. Have those been built somewhere?

Yes I've since completed both. I posted my US Bank Tower model in April 2011 and my CBOT Building model in January 2012.

Rocco and Spencer I want to know if you would like scaled models of all of your 1/650 scaled creations at (1/100 one brick equals 100 feet). If you want then in real Lego bricks it would be cheap to get then all(maybe $20 on bricklink) and add them to your collection. If you make more creations i'll keep updating the file. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK

Please forgive the large image size as it's the only one available at the moment:

The new Bag End set revealed by TLG at Comicon. Set to release alongside The Hobbit movie.

Looks like we'll get the return of the 8x8 round tile, along with a new piece that ought to make plaza level detailing easier for me and Spencer (particularly on fountains); a 4x4 round plate with a 2x2 round void, used here for the windows.

I love the fact that Bag End looks like a MOC! IMO, LEGO has stepped into a territory they've always been leery toward, but that we've always wanted them to. I mean, just look at that window with the turntable bases sandwiched between the 1 1/2 stud space inside the arches!

I took pictures of my buildings and then brought them into Photoshop and made them black. After that I brought each one into Indesign and created the chart.

Colors of Chicago

My goal over the next few months will be to replicate five Chicago landmarks utilizing several uncommonly used colors and techniques. This series will be revealed one at a time over the course of five days. On the sixth day, I will reveal one of my previously completed Chicago skyscraper models that will have undergone a major color change; enough so as to be dubbed "Version 2." Each respective model will be pre-viewed upon completion. The collective previews will be posted on their own temporary page on MOCpages. Stay tuned!

P.S. The idea of waiting to reveal them at the same time is a nod to last year's "Skyscraper Week" by Spencer.

I went to this today. The LEGO Kid's Fest in Austin. It was one of only 6 stops in the US and the only one in Texas.

Next stop: Michigan followed by Pittsburgh.

That did sound vaguely familiar.

That's a lot of clear bricks. Keep them away from the sunlight.
