It's an abandoned homestead in rural Alberta. The dolls themselves are on a bed upstairs in this tiny house:

I found an unread copy of the Edmonton Journal from March 22, 1969 inside. I suspect that's about the time this place was last occupied.

There are literally hundreds of these abandoned houses all over Alberta. A couple friends of mine are huge into the 'rurex' scene and sometimes I tag along with them. And yeah, some of these spots are pretty epic. I remember one place, the kitchen table was still set for breakfast circa 1955. It's like people just decided to walk away from their homes one day...
