Is a subway extension through West Hollywood/ Fairfax area obsolete?

Or is there still a chance of it come to fruition with the help of Measure M? Despite all the excitement I have for the purple line extension set to be complete by 2024, there are still a ton of gaps. I'm blown away there is no coverage for areas like WeHo that could connect to say The Grove/Fairfax district.

Do you think there will be any hope in the near future for rail?
