A couple things:

1) Pelli Clarke Pelli is a solid choice. (Was going to say PCP never lets you down, but that could be taken several ways.)

2) The architecture is a modern take on International Style, rooted in classic, clean design. The Seagram building (Ludwig Mies van der Rohe), the UN Building (Le Corbusier), Willis Tower (SOM) and John Hancock (Pei) are well-known examples.

Rosewood Property brings in venture partner for 2.5M-square-foot corporate magnet in Plano

Project Location

Quote:
Rosewood Property and Patrinely Group unveiled plans Tuesday outlining a 12-story, 343,800-square-foot office tower, called One Heritage Creekside, within Heritage Creekside's new 72-acre mixed-use campus along the President George Bush Turnpike on the west side of Interstate 75.

In all, the mixed-use campus — which is aimed at luring a major corporate tenant — will total more than 2.5 million square feet of Class A office space, retail, luxury urban apartments, hotels and single-family homes.

One Heritage Creekside, which could deliver as early as the fourth quarter of 2019, will be the first of four office buildings in a quad, with an additional fifth tower for a large company's operations, such as Amazon's proposed HQ2.
Quote:
Even though the office tower could deliver as early as the fourth quarter of 2019, a spokeswoman for the development group said they require a tenant commitment before beginning construction.

Tallest Building in the West End Breaks Ground

Quote:
The largest landlord in the Historic West End has broken ground on the tallest building in the neighborhood.

After closing on the land in late September, Crescent Real Estate and Long Wharf Capital immediately started work on the 100,000-square-foot office building on Houston Street and Ross Avenue, now called The Luminary.

The new development will have 462 parking spaces, giving it a higher-than-average parking ratio for downtown, and 52 bike racks. A rooftop terrace atop the building’s seven stories—making it the tallest building in the West End—will have panoramic views of downtown Dallas.

The Luminary plans to open in early 2019.

$1.5 billion residential community coming north of Fort Worth

Quote:
A $1.5 billion residential community planned between Fort Worth and Denton will bring more than 3,000 new homes.
Hillwood Communities, a Perot company, is building the 1,157-acre Pecan Square project in the Denton County town of Northlake. The mixed-use project on FM407 will have building sites for more than 600 homes in the first phase.
Houses in the development will be priced starting at about $270,000.
Hillwood Communities just purchased the land. The largest portion is a longtime equestrian center, Woodhill Farm. The developer plans to repurpose some of the horse farm buildings.
Quote:
The area leading up to the stables is lined with hundreds of mature pecan trees, which give the project its name and will be preserved.

"We'll break ground next spring," Balda said. "We think that by the summer of 2019 you'll see it be offered to the marketplace."

A fast-growing local economy has made Dallas-Fort Worth the top office leasing market in the country

Quote:
The D-FW area topped other U.S. markets in net office leasing through the first nine months of 2017, according to a new study by commercial real estate firm Cushman & Wakefield.
Quote:
Expanding and relocating business tenants net leased more than 3.8 million square feet of North Texas office space through the third quarter. That's up slightly from the same period last year.
Quote:
D-FW tops markets in Silicon Valley, Manhattan and the Pacific Northwest in total office demand. Cushman & Wakefield researchers say the strongest office leasing are in markets with the most tech firms.
Quote:
D-FW is the second busiest office construction market with more than 6 million square feet of buildings in the development pipeline.

Only Midtown Manhattan -- with 9.5 million square feet of office building -- has more construction.

Absolutely awful street interaction, but great tower design!

Ironically enough it would replace a complex with great street interaction (also designed by a fantastic architect, Cole Smith.)

Agreed. I love the tower but hate it's replacing those great French-styled buildings and also its lack of interaction. It's replacing density and street interaction with height.
