Still hope it will look better once the planting beds fill in more.
Ah, I thought there was a render more like what the final product is, but couldn't find it. Yeah that is much more like what is there.

I swear when I read the news today the article on the plaza included the old render, not the new one. So that might explain why a lot of people are wondering what the hell happened.

Yikes. Yeah the old design is much better. It looked like an attractive community space and the new plaza is more like a sparsely landscaped path between buildings.

Looks similar except for three things:

1. The trees aren't mature yet and the bushes are missing.
2. Where are the people?
3. That sexy "golden hour" lighting is no where to be seen.

Visited today - lots of people there enjoying the tiny water show. Kids playing in it so it’s basically an extension of the kids water park down below in that sense - definitely wasn’t planned that way lol.
2. Half asleep security guard sitting in it. I wonder if that will be permanent?
3. The “gold” fixtures are white - everything is white or black cheap plastic. The LED’s under the concrete sitting spaces look extremely cheap!! what the heck
4. In general it’s just mostly a concrete park. Lots of grass in between a lot of concrete. No texturizing. Someone got paid to design this?? I’m in the wrong industry.

One more whine about this before I leave this particular thread forever baha - no evergreens meaning it’ll be extremely drab over the winter. I could see them dumping piles of snow on this park over 8 months of the year since it’s not at all winter friendly

This video says that the Nutrien sign is “Saskatchewan tallest sign”. Isn’t that false since RobinHood’s sign is 300ft? Maybe if triovedt didn’t cut two floors, but stumpy tower doesn’t get that crown haha. I personally think the new Nutrien sign is very bad quality compared to their old sign… really cut corners with the finishing touches of this project.

What a weird thing to brag about in the first place. Saskatchewan's tallest sign.

I assume that’s for two floors? Where were they previously located?

I believe they were located on Broadway (SE corner of 11th St and Broadway). Had 2 or 3 floors in that building. Sounds like RL would be a fairly large expansion for them.
