SHANGHAI | Golden Magnolia Plaza | 741 FT / 226 M | 52 FLOORS

This thread is long over due. The building has been topped out, and they are now starting to apply the glass. It's a great addition to the area.

Working on the very top

Does anyone have a rendering of GMP?

Luwan District, although sort of near the Xuhui border.

Another little greenie... Looks quite different from the model, more "glassy".

I'm interested to see how the crown turns out:

They appear to be applying panels of glass at the top:

Fucking A, Anton, those pictures rule. The first four you took are insane. I love that fancy lens.

Interesting to see that the crown seems to round at the top. I have no clue how it'll look, but I'm more than a little excited.

cool, I saw a picture thread that showed this building in some photos and was wondering what it was... or couldnt remember what it was, since i'm sure i've seen this thread before.

It looks good. I like the shape and there is something really nice about how large and dominant over its area this one is.

^Was it my last photo thread (bunch of night shots, panos, etc.)? I think I remember referring someone who asked over to this thread...

must be nice to live in a city with so many projects that buildings such as this one don't get a thread right away. in philly we discuss and discuss projects and as soon as the first piece of dirt is moved, boom somebody makes a contruction thread for the building.

April 20th, from the north:

...and from the south:

...with more and more glass going on the top, I'm even more confused as to how the crown will look once finished. crazyness.
