FoxRocks has put up a section on their website where retailers can post their Sunday hours. Not many of the big guys yet, but there are a few. Overall, not really many changes. (and some weren't affected by the change anyway)

Quote:
Fredericton Co-Op - Noon - 5
Merle Norman and Day Spa - Noon - 5
Sears Travel - Closed
Canadian Tire #337 75 Two Nations Crossing - 9am - 5pm
Eaglewood Specialty Products - Closed
Regent Mall - Noon - 5
Giant Tiger Fredericton North 598 Union Street - Sunday 10am - 5pm
What On Earth - Noon - 5
Science East - Noon - 4
Isaac's Way Restaurant 649 Queen Street - 8:00 am -10:00 pm
MonkeyCakes - Closed
Strange Adventures - Noon - 4
Pharmasave - Southside - 640 Prospect St - Noon - 5 and Northside - 231 Canada St - Noon - 5
Menchie's Frozen Yogurt - 11am - 11pm
Fabricville - Noon to 5
Animal Essentials 101 Main St.- Noon - 5 pm
Dana's Collision Center - Closed
Capital Pool & Spa - Closed
Harvey Studio - Closed
Chapters - 11-9 beginning Sunday the 25th
No change at Regent mall, but Chapters is going whole hog 11-9. Then again, Chapters has always synced up with the Theaters as much as they could.

Regent Mall

Who determines the Regent Malls hours? I assume the stores with their own entrances can determine there own. What about the other stores?

The owner/manager of the mall determines hours, undoubtedly with input from store owners.

Stores can be fined if they are not open while the mall is open, IIRC.

I anticipate Regent Mall/Uptown Centre will adjust their hours later this Fall. Walmart is open 10-6 PM this Sunday according to the revised link above and Target will take full advantage of the flexible hours. The smaller stores adjacent to these locations will follow over time.

Neat. Mom will be happy with that. It's in a new section too. Wonder if they'll do both sections now, or still leave the last one unbuilt?

Good catch Cl812. Was hoping that TJX would opt for a Marshalls at the Corbett Centre instead but it appears not to be the case. That will put 2 of TJX's stores at the same location the other being Winners. Can't see them opting for a 3rd store anytime soon.

On another note....sure hope they build that "future gas station" in front of Costco soon.

I miss being able to post stories from the Gleaner via its online site about development news in the city lol. It has really slowed the forum down...just a thought that crossed my mind lol.

Just did some walking around today. Marks in Uptown Centre is going to be open 9-5 on Sundays. Everyone else is 12-5 still as far as I can tell (not unexpected).

Sobey's Prospect, (and I assume Sobeys Brookside)'s new hours are 8AM Sunday to Midnight Saturday. They'll be closed 8 hours Sunday morning for non-customer time.

Noticed Target has changed the expected opening of the NB stores from "Winter 2013" to "Late Fall 2013". As anticipated this allows them to be up and running for the Xmas rush.

Don't worry Blue Blazer misses it as well. I really got some people going over the years. But oddly enough my rank was top 3 by the end of it, so I guess people liked seeing what I had to say

Well as long as they don't have the same guys building the Target store that usually work on Regent Mall, they should meet those targets easily.

If it was the Regent Mall construction company, they'd have a hard time meeting a Winter 2020 deadline.

How long does it take to install 6 or 8 frozen yogurt machines and repaint a room? I expected that yogurt place in the mall to be opened by now.

At least they'll be able to hit some of the Christmas rush. Missing the Back To School rush is going to be tough enough on a new department store.

Oh and on another note, Brookside Sobeys did have 10-8 hours on Sunday. Superstore North Side had 9 to 7 I think.

I've seen it a couple times over the last few weeks and my girlfriend saw it on the way to Saint John a couple months ago.
