I suspect it will all be over soon. Doug is delusional if he thinks he can run to head the provincial PC party, they don't want him. And Rob Ford though I don't wish him ill i don't see him beating this thing with his already self inflicted poor health. And anybody who has heard the new Ford talk, the idiot who was elected School trustee knows that he acts and sounds like the result of inbreeding. it won't take long for Ford Nation to move their short attentions onto something else like Americas next Top Idol or a Shiny car they see drive past.
The city has been won back by the smart, the Ford era is over.
Ford would've been a disaster as mayor of Toronto. His subway plans were nothing more than delusions that would've inevitably resulted in tax hikes.
However, I think Ford as premier would be quite a reasonable prospect. It's the only way renters like myself would see any tax breaks (the only city taxpayers are homeowners)
