I've seen similar projects to five five queen, and it seems the developers here are trying to have everything done at once for there grand opening.

Gahan House apparently wants to open by the end of the year, which seems ambitious given how unfinished the building in general looks......

I think once the cladding is finally put on the outside, it'll look much more complete. With the colder weather setting in, I wonder why this hasn't started yet?

Maybe they've been waiting for Gahan to move in most of their equipment? With the siding and window/doors not in place, it would be easier to get those big vats and other stuff in. Now that it's in place, and cooler weather is coming, I'm sure they'll be working fast to seal up the building.

It's unreal how slow the construction of this building has been, it seems like this has been going on forever.

(may have something to do with me really wanted Gahan to open, love their beer and food, lol)

FiveFive Queen - current status:

Insulation installation is virtually complete. Next step will be exterior cladding. I think Gerhardt is correct. Once the cladding is applied this building will very suddenly appear complete (or nearly so). It's pretty obvious that they are working furiously on the interior at the same time. I saw lots of workers going in and out of the Gahan House

Rear view, showing ongoing work on the adjacent parking structure.........

Will Gahan be on the west side or east side of this building?

West side.

In order, west to east on the ground floor
- Gahan House
- Lobby for hotel and condos
- NBLC specialty wine store.

Man I hope so...seems like it's taken literally 'forever' to build this building.

Exterior cladding work is progressing quickly now. The west face of the building is now about 80% complete.

The cladding looks amazing. So glossy. I actually emailed FiveFive Queen to compliment them on the high-end finish.

I wonder how much finish work has to be done on the interiors to be considered "done" at this point.

From a Facebook post of Jan 2nd, FiveFive would only have 9 Condos available, looked at their website and surprised to see a lot of the larger units are gone $$$.

FiveFive Queen - current status:

I think the application of the cladding is being really slowed down by how cold the weather is right now. Still, the building is looking more and more complete all the time.

I'd agree since last week there was a day, or two of no work at all in the morning, or minimal work at best.

Some of the signage is now up for the Gahan House. I noticed this tonight as I was driving by. Seems a little premature, but it is affixed to the side of the building where the exterior cladding is mostly finished. The signage looks pretty stylish.
