If Reux will be anything close to as good as Bear and Joey in Victoria https://www.bearandjoey.ca (another Australian brunch place), it's going to be awesome.

Ruex is anticipating a March opening.

Save-On is aiming for a late January opening.

What about the existing Save-On retailer next to Surrey Central Station?

Didn't hear a closing date, but a lot of their shelves are being emptied out or paired down already.

I believe the old Save-On's last day is January 27th (or there about) and the new one opens the next consecutive day.

yeah I had to grab something on the way home that we forgot to get at the
Newton Superstore last week and there were a lot of empty shelves, basics were in good supply though but I was wondering if it was getting close to moving.

The sign looks small under that over-sized canopy.

Went by today and Save-On opens on Thursday.
Westlands ground floor space is getting some serious work done on it.
The dental place was putting up drywall on the individual rooms.
The Hub Liquor Store has a few pallets on the ground
Most of the other places look empty still.

any movement at Jollibee? are they just announcing locations for fun and never following through? They have announced four locations as far back as 2019? and still nothing. The Strawberry Hill location has to be constructed from the ground up and there is nothing going on there either.

I hope to check out the Save-on this weekend, The old one was always pretty empty and it had so much wasted space, a smaller footprint will be beneficial.

That won't be until next year unfortunately.

The Jolibee isn't opening until next year at the Hub or Strawberry Hill?

There's been no movement at the Hub one though, it's empty inside.

I heard they had a lot of freebies today. It's also much nicer to walk there from nearby streets, the old location was not a pleasant walk from any direction. They are a little pricey but I prefer their meat and produce over Walmart and RCSS.
