I like simplicity, that's why I'm getting this plate instead of my current one.

Ok, you Canadians get back to your cars now. Sorry for the minor hijack.

I'd say Quebec plates are even more simple than Ontario's... plus, we have only one of them per vehicle -- so that's half the complexity of Ontario right there.

Ours are simple too. The colour of the letters/numbers seems to change depending on which political party is in power provincially.

Here is the reigning Tory blue:

And a couple of my parents' that I kept - one to show the previous Liberal red.

And the other I kept because 76 and 81 were big years in our family.

My old truck had the Cabot 500 plate. I always thought these were great, they should really bring them back for the Cabot 525 in 2022.

Saskatchewan and Alberta have sweet plates too.

I'm a license plate junkie.
I have a few plates in my collection but I'm not at junkie status, yet
Alberta's is a little more interesting than many of the other provinces', but I can still remember the old yellow and black. Now that one sure stood out:

I took a picture of my car this morning.

I plan to take off the winter tires this week. Woohoo! Then it'll look middle class fabulous again.

Then all I'd need is an oversized spoiler I obviously welded on myself.

That's a mighty steep hill, you should turn your wheels towards the curb

Where's the fun in that?

In all seriousness, I normally do - but I live nowhere near this street and just stopped there to get a picture of the sunrise:

I drive a 2008 Chevrolet Malibu LTZ.

I bought it off my dad, he gave me a significant discount as a gift for graduating University this past May. It worked out for him anyway, as he was wanting to buy himself a new car anyway.

I've been told by some of the people I work with that its an "old man's car" and I should be driving something better suited to a 23 year old. Personally though, I like trying to work the classy-businessman look

It suits your style. You've got that... Montreal 30-something businessman thing going. At least in winter. I've yet to see if you're as well-dressed when you can't layer.

I find dressing decently in summer time far harder. And I do have a wide-ranging collection of t-shirts. So I might have to avoid you guys for 6 months in order to maintain this perception.

"Old man's car"? People need to stop being so jealous and learn to accept their $15,000 shitboxes I like Malibus (at least this generation, the last one had issues) because they're European cars without European prices (or reliability). The Epsilon II is a Vauxhall/Opel creation.

While the LTZ certainly looks a lot snazzier than the LS or LT, I wouldn't quite call it a business man's car. Their vehicles are like uniforms: German or Japanese, black or silver.

Well, its certainly no Mercedes or BMW. Baby steps, haha.

I was just trying to imply that it's not an "old man's car" anymore than it's a "young person's car". It's just... a car (albeit, with a great interior).

I'd call it a salesman's car. Very popular with people who work on the road.

I bet half of the Impalas you see on the road have a laptop on the front passenger seat, an overnight bag in the back seat and a set of golf clubs in the trunk

I've rented a few Impalas over the last few years. I don't mind them at all.

I do an obscene amount of city driving with work, so it fits. Spend half my time out of office. I certainly have never been uncomfortable in that car, even during full days of travel. So if anyone is considering the Malibu, I would vouche for it. I love it.
