Saskatchewan’s eastern boundary is not a straight line but jogs over to the west after every third township line (I believe it is) to account for the earth’s curvature. That pattern ends north of Flin Flon after the surveyed townships end. But the Manitoba border town of Flin Flon itself is north of Sask as well as east of it.

I think I like Manitoba and Quebec the best. Some straight lines, some jazz hands. They're uplifting somehow.
Lol. I can picture that now on someone's neck. Looks better when it's on the back windshield of a pickup truck than on someone's skin.

Nova Scotia for me. It has no arbitrary political boundaries, a nice long coastline, and the way Cape Breton forks at the end is aesthetically pleasing.

The platform of the Rhinoceros Party used to include a pledge to make Saskatchewan the shape of a fish.

I'd give it to Québec because it's so distinctive.

No, Saskatchewan is not a rectangle, it's about 390 miles across at the bottom and only about 275 miles across at the top. Although you are right about the tilt, the logic of your argument is distorted. I voted for Newfoundland because it's the most distinctive and a real piece of geography when viewed from space.

PEI has always looked to me like a rabbit with no forelegs. So I have to vote PEI.

Nova Scotia looks like a smaller version of New Zealand.

British Columbia looks like a bigger version of California.

It always looked like some giant thing took a big bite out of the west side of Quebec.

Two favs:

- Nova Scotia, for the NZ lookalike effect mentioned by a previous poster
- Quebec because it's just so massive and unique

Yes we are, but this has been permitted for awhile now. We really do need a Canadian Skybar for all these one-off topics.

I knew one of Saskatchewan's borders jogged - couldn't remember if it was the east or the west ... so thanks for clarifying.
I wonder why they decided to make part of one border like that ?

Not sure if this is a good example but continental France is more or less in the shape of a hexagon, and as a result is very commonly referred to metaphorically as "L'Hexagone".

In French, Italy is often referred to as "La Botte" (the boot) as well.
