I wonder what the lighting scheme will be like at night? Will the top be lighted like the St. James crown?

The Beautiful Morano

What a great tower going up. The architecture is similar to a few buildings in Houston, sleek yet soft ! Philly gets better everyday ! Makes me want to turn to a life of crime to be able to afford a Murano penthouse.

So far that garage looks terrible hopefully when it is completed it will look half as good as the Murano. Great photos everyone. Murano is definitely starting to have a presence on the skyline from many view points.

If the Michelin Man were a garage, he would look like this garage.

Agreed. This is the garage that everybody has to look at for the next 50 years? What a waste of center city space.

OK, OK chumpzillas, why don't we wait for final product before flinging out opinions? I'm guessing that since it takes some decent dough to call the Murano home, they will class up the garage a bit. I'm guessing some sort of screen masking will show up eventually, similar to the 40th and Walnut garage in west Philly...maybe I'm wrong.

Go Phillies!

exactly. The garage is going to get a screen that will have "vertical gold strips of metal and a silver like screen". I dont know the technical speak of this covering but it will be "classed up". Go look at the model for yourself.

Nothing personal, but if you haven't even seen what the final product is supposed to look like, how can you jump to the conclusion that it's ugly before it's even completed??? Kinda like "we believe there are Weapons of Mass Destruction"...

Look, you can't take a poop, stick a flower in it, and call it art .... ok, maybe some people would ... but you get my point!

Try the first X floors of the comcast center. Nice looking garage there.

yea an underground garage is the way to go! and with the rest of the space on that lot they could have done something a lot better. but if it cant be underground then what can you expect.

I kind of like the garage. Reminds me of the white building by Comcast Center.

I'm fairly certain the developers wanted an underground garage, but if I remember correctly, there were topographic or environmental reasons why they couldn't build one on this lot. Wasn't the site originally a gas station?

Either way, I think this garage looks good, and 1000x better than some of the internal garages found in apartment buildings along JFK Blvd East. or the St. James.

The rooftop deck will also be nice, especially if they landscape it.

Great building, good garage.
