Will the glass be blue, or perhaps closer to reflective gray or silver ?

Very nice, as that corner is already a little heavy on blue.

Any info on this? It'd be the tallest in the city if I'm not mistaken

EDMONTON | Manulife 2 | 161M | 32 FLOORS

to fit with the rest of this section?

So what's the probability and timeline? Manulife 2 has probably been the most anticipated tower in Edmonton history.

Really excited to see this happen.

My preferred timeline:

Tomorrow: groundbreaking

Next Day: topping-out

Okay , this is all well and good but there's a fair bit missing here .

For one thing , how is this a proposal exactly ? It's just a drawing . There's nothing about when it could start , if that's even the final design , how much it will cost , who will develop it , has it been approved , etc.

Secondly , has the City Center Airport closed ? I could have sworn there was a height limit at 150 meters . IF that's the case then this thing won't be started as currently 'proposed' until that airport is shut down . I realize that the city council has decided to basically phase it out but how will that affect height caps and when ?

Don't misunderstand me here , I'm very much all for this and would love to see it get going skyward . It's all just a little sketchy based on what's been presented here which is , after all , just a rendering .

1. AIMCO and ALBERCO are behind it at this point, there was an article in spring about them investigating various options.

2. One runway closed allows increased height west of 101st... New capital city downtown plan allows 150m but up to 200 as discretionary.

3. ... Much more than just a remaindering happening behind the scenes. Rumours have 600k split between UofA school of business and the prov.

Seems likely that the glazing would be very similar to EAP/Devon projects, no? (which would be welcome I think.)
