The Leafs are virtually no different than the Oilers. Run and gun with crappy defense.

Having the nice pick secured (and I don't see Edmonton winning vs the Canucks), I hope we DESTROY the Leafs!!!

Hopefully a hat trick for Patches or Cole.

Who's this Akim Aliu who scored twice for the Flames this afternoon (I didn't see the game as it was on in the middle of the night here) and where did he come from?

This was pretty much my facebook status an hour ago (though I did hear about him last week before he played his first game). He laid some pretty solid hits, too!

Erik Cole scored his 35th... Tied with Alex Kovalev as the best Habs goal scorer post-lockout.

I remember hearing about Aliu for the first time a couple years ago when my friends and I were browsing nhl.com and finding this guy randomly on the Blackhawks' prospect list. We thought wtf...who is this player from Nigeria? And now we know, looks like his NHL career has started with a bang.

With his 33 goals, Pacioretty is the first and only player to date to score that much in a season from all 2007 draftee (previous best was Couture at 32).

He, Patrick Kane and Logan Couture are the only ones to break the 65+ pts mark from that draft.

Drafted 22nd in 2007, it is another example that you don't necessarily need lottery picks in order to build your team (But it helps). Especially considering we drafted Subban a day later in the second round.

BTW-I was impressed by Carey Price's dress tonight...

He'll be traded to Calgary within a week.

PS: Calgary, seemingly yet again (haven't checked), is the highest ranked team to not make the playoffs. So frigging pointless. Edit: checked - last year Dallas was 1 pt ahead and still didn't make it. But otherwise true.

Well I'm not one who would say that. Consecutive regular season championships is impressive. They seemed to do so a little quieter this season.

Wow, ten teams with 100+ points, and four of them are in the Central Division.

Congrats to Vancouver on winning the Presidents Trophy for the 2nd straight year...Now hopefully you guys can win the cup so you actually have something to brag about.

(I will still cheer against you though, being a division rival and all)

Are you on drugs?

Well regardless its nice to see you finally opening up a bit, I think you are now slowly stepping out of the denial stage to the acceptance stage. Soon you will openly cheer for the Canucks too, how can you not, their just so fun and entertaining to watch.

Your spelling mistake just was the icing on the humour cake here.
