They were filming in Strathcona last week. Got some money for letting them run cables beside my house as well. Not a bad deal.

Nautilus, the big screen reboot of Godzilla is filming in Steveston this week and next. It's supposed to be San Francisco, go figure...

Monster mayhem: Godzilla is in town – filmmakers shot scenes for the movie in downtown New Westminster. City Coun. Jonathan Cote took pictures of the filming, which was happening just out front his downtown condo, located near Columbia and Sixth streets.

I thought I'd jump in here real quick!

In late August (can't remember the dates exactly), on Powell Street in Gastown (I think), there were 1950-1960s model cars with California plates, and the street was dressed as San Francisco.

I was also visiting Vancouver early last month, October 8th, 9th and 10th I believe. Somebody was shooting something near the intersection of Homer and Robson Street. The street was lined with cars with New York license plates and yellow taxi cabs.

If anybody has any information on these, that would be awesome! I'm merely curious.

The San Francisco shoot was almost certainly Tim Burton's Big Eyes, starring Amy Adams and Christoph Waltz.

The New York shoot could have been the new sci-fi television show Tomorrow People, which is set in New York City. Or maybe Disney's Tomorrowland, which is partially set in New York and stars George Clooney and Hugh Laurie.

More info on the quadrotors. It's a mix of the real robots and CG.

hey, yeah! Intriguing question, that. Does anybody know? It looks either like a heritage building or something post-modern. Or... was
it "added in" by the studio to balance the picture frame?

Nice footage of Vancouver - but I'm still upset at Porsche for putting their name on soulless blobs like that

I'm pretty sure I saw them filming last month on the viaducts during the day, I guess that shot didn't make it in.

Indeed. It's an insult to the Stuttgart license plate.

Part of me would love it if they left that statue there. But considering he's an evil dictator, and its right next to the law courts, Ill understand if they dont.

Pic by me today of the green screens.
Note that the wall behind the statues is fake (nice job!)
- covering office windows normally behind the waterfall.

Cool. Noticed that they were building something for a shooting on my way to work yesterday, but forgot about the whole thing afterwards. Today I took another route and missed it. Interesting nonetheless.
