I count about 40 buildings under construction in Vegas. http://www.vegastodayandtomorrow.com...tion_stats.htm has the most accurate list.

San Francisco can use some of those cranes too! How many cranes are there now on this project site alone? I also imagine the drawing sets for the entire project must contain a very large number of sheets indeed!

I think there are 13 or 14 tower cranes on the PCC building site right now. About 37 tower cranes around town. Impossible to count all the crawlers.

Chicago for example has 24 buildings under construction alone which will be taller than 400 feet of the 64 high-rise buildings under construction at this time. . . that's not even mentioning the fact that 3 of them will top 1,000 feet in height. . . Mexico City has 118 buildings under construction. . . New York City has a whopping 153 high-rise buildings under constructions. . . Miami has 37 buildings under construction. . . these are only the ones I checked at this time and short of derailing this thread, felt it worth noting. . .

yeah the likes of Project city center, echelon and plaza only count as one highrise yet in other cities they would equate to five or six different buildings. PCC has the main tower, Vdara, Harmon Hotel, Mandarin and Veer East and West, each of those 6 towers will be at least 450 foot tall. Echelon has another 5 towers going up on its site, plaza will have seven towers; thats an incredible 18 separate towers in just three projects

From shots of City Center from this morning and the last one is from last night in the wind storm.

What a frigging amazing project. I was glad to see it in person. Man there is so much going on in Vegas now.

Is Cosmo on hold? I didn't see any workers today and the cranes were not moving.

Was it still windy? It was pretty fierce for a while yesterday and still this morning, that usually slows things down. But yeah, the Cosmo construction financing is on a month to month basis right now and might dry up by the end of April if they don't find a new investor. Great shots, btw.

I was in vegas around the 19-22nd of last month and took a first hand look at PCC. It is simply incredible and the fact that there is so much construction equipment and cranes at such a contained area is staggering to say the least.
I even went inside to check out the sales center and it is very impressive. Just as impressive was perhaps the hottest woman in the sales center showing around all the suites and buildings. Never seen such fine legs and racks all at once, including tables, chairs and closet spaces in VDara and Harmon..

The scale building models are surreal, but they only have for a few though and i was hoping to see the scale model for the Liebskind retail galleria.

2 days after I got back, I hear about Monte Carlo, wow.. The damage looks serious but thankfully it didnt get worse.
