Thanks... yes it's there, but we're all still waiting for a proper proposal application to the city. East harbor is still a vision for now.

Thank God that was never approved.
-Twin towers are lazy and ugly.
-Too close to the CN tower, would be appropriate farther away.

I agree that these would have been better positioned some further blocks away from the CN Tower, but in no way would I consider them lazy and ugly. They would have looked great on the skyline.

The Oxford Towers proposal is the most beautiful proposal this city has ever had.

For me,the twin of oxford would have make the skyline of Toronto more beautiful than ever. I am so sad it's cancelled. It was our best proposal ever.

Not ugly. I don't care for them being identical twins either. Lazy? Well ... they are recycled from other Foster designs. You do have to take into account that these were concept not really meant to be ever built so they are actually pretty damn good for what they are.

Best proposal ever? I think we have better, underappreciated designs in our existing skyline.

I was saying that designing 2 towers to be identical is lazy. You can have a multi-building project but you should make the buildings distinct.

I think the tower(s) would have been fine elsewhere, but Toronto should keep somewhat of a height limit around the CN tower. The skyline is much nicer with it as a focal point. I like how it looks now where you have the CN tower and then mountains of skyscrapers growing on either side away from the tower.

Agreed.

Also, the view from the CN tower toward the downtown would have been effectively ruined by a building about a hundred meters away having its roof be about 30 meters below the tower's main deck.

I hope East Harbor gets cancelled. Id rather see that office space spread out through the downtown and midtown core.

I agree that a height limit around the immediate vicinity of the CN tower makes sense. I also find some of the proposals by Rosedale station to be far too tall for the area.

However, a height limit based on shadowing Jesse Ketchum is absolutely batshit insane.
