This would have been the opportune time for Vancouver to win the cup. Most of the top ranked teams are gone. If Boston and NY go then it will be a bit of a free for all.

Well if that were the case then anyone but Philadelphia should win the cup; after all the other teams who made it to the second round have never won the cup.

Can't remember if I read it here first, if so I apologize:

Winnipeg finally gets a team back, and that very year the Jets curse is lifted. Co-incidence? I think not!

I like underdog stories. I hope the Florida Panthers take game 7.

It's not because someone plays for my team that he's perfect... Campoli won't become a an all-star D-man because he wears the Habs jersey.

Both the Senators and the Leafs are rivals and I've seen quite a bit from both Neil and Tucker...

Neil is plays hard and on the edge. Tucker might be a better hockey player but he's dirty and a piece of shit.

Someone better break Tim Thomas' Game 7 shutout streak tomorrow.

The last one to score on him in a Game 7 situation was Subban with 2 minutes left to tie that game (Round 1).

GO CAPS!!! It's time to NOT choke for once.

Same. I'm mostly rooting for the underdogs; Florida, Washington, and Ottawa.

What a good game. One of my favourite American teams makes it. I was very surprised since Washington usually chokes in game 7, but this was nice.
I know a lot of people in Montreal are smiling.

If New Jersey gets eliminated tomorrow then all teams in have not one the cup in almost 20 years or more or have never one the cup.

I'm cheering for Ottawa and Florida tomorrow.

Oh yeah!

Winning the Stanley Cup a year and then getting eliminated the year after, that is quite a dive.

Not a horrible outcome, I was pulling for the B's but I certainly don't dislike the Caps. Which seemed like the whole problem with the series They were far too nice to each other! Honestly, though, if the Bruins did somehow advance after playing so terribly for those 7 games they would have been out fast in the 2nd round, especially considering Bergeron's rather apparent injury, and their lack of ability to win *a* faceoff without him taking them. And Thomas... well, not his best series. Perhaps he could have done without his vibration sessions.

So, it's better a team like the Caps finally has a chance at it. If the Sens and Panthers both win it could end up being a pretty easy cakewalk to the Cup... they're a much more solid team than anyone else remaining in the East, the only thing is I think Holtby will probably crumble when there is actually some pressure on him (but if they end up playing Bryzgalov down the road it'll be a replay of the Penguins series). Boston sent nothing but floaters his way all series long, and even with those he let out some wicked rebounds in the slot that no Bruin actually cared enough to go after.

Boston will be back with a healthy Bergeron, and Horton in the lineup. And maybe a few players like Lucic who were nothing but deadweight getting far less ice time! Hunter sure did wipe the floor with Julien, completely outcoaching him every single moment of this entire series.

As a fan who has been watching the Canucks for years, you develop such an emotional attachment to the team that watching 4 rounds of play-offs really drains you. I don't know if I would have the energy to go through another Stanley Cup run as it is so daunting a task. I feel the Canucks and Bruins feel this too, as it is such a physical and emotional commitment, that the thought of doing it 2 years in a row is simply too much to ask. I believe it's true when people say that the Stanley Cup is the most difficult championship trophy to win.

Judging by Luongo's recent comments, it seems like he's resigned himself to the fact he will not be a Canuck next year. I never thought Luongo would be on the trading block, but that seems to be the case... any takers?

I'm guessing the Toronto or Tampa Bay will try to get him.

It would make an abundance of sense for him to go to New Jersey, considering they are likely losing Parise.

And, Brodeur is old and can't bend over anymore.

Even though I loathe Toronto, I think it would be an absolute perfect fit for him. He could remain a villain to 90% of the Country, and still be hyped up by CBC and TSN all year long! There is always the outside chance he would be great for them, though, in which case he should probably go to some nobody team like Columbus. Or Tampa Bay, even.

Had such a big smile on my face when I saw it was Benoit Pouliot who made that dumb play that led to Ward's goal.

BTW-Joel Ward has already been called the n-word by Boston fans (are we surprised really?)... classless organization and classless fans.

Unfortunately idiots exist everywhere, but the internet is the only place people seem to pay attention to them.

And what is up with the media nowadays thinking it is acceptable to quote Twitter posts as if they are some sort of newsworthy event.
