1155 Thurlow St | 62.9m | 22Fl | u/c

With an FSR of nearly 10 and over 200 units I figured this one deserved its own thread.

Quote:
The City of Vancouver has received an application to rezone 1155 Thurlow Street from RM-5B (Multiple-Family Dwelling) District to CD-1 (Comprehensive Development) District to allow development of a 22-storey mixed-use building including market and non-market rental housing, retail space, a church and a preschool.

Everything is approved. Just a few dozen more truck loads of dirt and I'd imagine this one is U/C.

Oh, ok. Got a bit confused because of the status.

Thanks for clarifying!

The final design of the podium has changed. The lower levels are now a mix of various shades of green and some red. Can't find a good image just now. An improvement, but the proof will be in the final product.

Thats much more appropriate for the west end with all the colour variation, though the quality of the spandrel remains to be seen. The first iteration with the entirely green podium kinda scared me, it could have been easily switched with seafoam or something else plain looking to save a few bucks at the end of the project.

easiest way for me is to just right click on a photo and copy image address. However not all websites will allow you to link images ie:flickr. Also you gotta put your source (website) with the image and you should be good.

Thanks for the assistance ... and, just for the record, one of the pixs.
Now I will concentrate on better pixs (and more appropriate sizing!).

Nice, the pit is coming along quickly. (I'm still waiting for a redevelopment proposal for the Shoppers site just behind this on Davie, bad use of land so close to the core of DT)
