So does that mean that the top of those columns is 1368/1373 or does the parapet glass extend a couple feet higher than the columns like on WTC-4?

Hello all! First time post on this site, but I follow it as i'm a huge fan of architecture.

Been following the WTC progress closely. I'm sad to see WTC2 not being built yet, as it was my favorite.

Overall I wish this project would have rivaled the stuff being built in Asia, but i'm glad New York is still competing with projects like this. I hope to make my first visit there when most of these supertalls are built. I've already been to most major cities with great skylines (Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco, Dallas, Houston, LA, etc).

New York is sort of the final frontier so to speak....

It has taken more than ten years but I guess it's safe to say that here on out, 1 WTC is now at the level of its predecessors.

I don't believe it's at the final height yet.
From the graphic above, it appears that the corners have not reached the top.

I love that joe woolhead pic that otie posted where the steal beams are converging, it's really start to feel like it's coming to an end. I'm sure many people thought this would never happen.

It's been a hell of a jouney for 1 WTC and while I'm very happy to see it finally nearing completion, but it's also a little sad that the skeleton will be hidden from view.

Oh well, soon the hustle and bustle of construction will end and occupancy will begin, but there will be many, many more pojects to look forward to in the very near future such as 432 Park, Manhattan West, Hudson Yards Twin Towers, One Hudson Yards, Tower Verre, 56 Leonard, 30 Park and 225 W57th.
