Beltline Map

I wanted to see the Beltline LRT's proposed location in relation to Atlanta, so I created a user-made map on Google Maps. It's still in it's first draft, so some things may be a bit off. Although the official rendering does not show that the line will connect to the Ashby and West End MARTA stations, the Concept 3 map does show this. I tried to simulate their location as best as I could.

Next, I plan on adding the MARTA lines, Peachtree streetcar and the parks along the Beltline to visualize the future of Atlanta.

Anyone can add content if desired.

If you're interested, I think you could go to the ARC website & download the MARTA & Beltline shapefile. Then, if you don't have any GIS software (though there are plenty of free GIS software packages that do have this capability), you can find a shapefile to KML converter. Then of course you can import the KML file into your mashup.
