I as well do not like the giant red panels on the new expansion of Bayshore, especially from Richmond Road. I'm sure Target paid some extra money for this as part of the deal. I would really hope and expect Bayshore to put the other signs back up once the expansion is complete. They had taken down an Old Navy, Sports Experts, Homesense and Winners signs I believe. Hopefully The Bay will change their logo sign as well to their newer brand logo.

The old The Bay signage on the first and second floors (I didn't check the third) is gone. Looks like new Hudson's Bay signs are on their way.

Was at the mall again yesterday and took another two photos. The north side entrance to the Target has been bordered in red and there are also temporary banners with the Target logo in front of it as well as across the entrance from inside the mall. The lights inside the store seemed to be on as well.

The expansion is horrid looking from the outside...it's like a frankenstein big box mall tumor attached to the old mall. I'm not impressed with the interior of the expansion so far either, no natural light, low ceilings and barley any furnishings. I hope the next phase is an improvement.

Went there today and discovered that the razor and small electrics store - Personal Edge - has closed.

The guy there has helped me out several times over the years. A shame to see them close.

So that's where you've been buying your knives.

Braun Pulsonic razor, emergency repair to said razor, repair to kitchenaid food processor, last minute Father's Day gift, etc.

Are those clues as to what the weapon of choice will be in the next sequel?

Okay, I just got it.

Still feeling the effects of the Air France cold I caught, apparently on both departure and return.

Looks like Bayshore is getting a Pinkberry franchise. There were a few job postings on Kijiji last month apparently

On a side note, there are postings for Tim Hortons and Tommy Guns also for Bayshore.

Looks like the exact date of completion of the new wing is August 13, as per this job posting:

Was hoping they would announce some of the new retailers still to come, but I guess that'll have to wait just a bit longer.

Makes me wonder what they'll do with the bayshore station connection when the parkade reconstruction reaches the last section.

Forever XXI Coming to Bayshore

Looks like the New Forever XXI at Bayshore will carry their selection of Men's clothes, something the location at Rideau Centre is lacking.

http://www.613style.com/forever-21-b...arry-menswear/

Word is it will opening early to mid September.
I might stop by the mall later to check out construction process and what the inside looks like, if I do I'll post what I see!

Steve Madden is setting up shop at Bayshore now...

* Again, this coincides with the list of proposed tenants provided by gjhall.

Stopped by Bayshore tonight. Most of the new wing is open now. Though, it seems a few stores/eateries won't be opening until Friday. Of note were a few signs in front of retail spaces - the following stores are moving in at some point in the near future:

- Steve Madden (as mentioned above)
- Desigual (2nd level, new wing)
- Teavana (bottom floor across from new Sports Experts)
- White House Black Market (next to Brown Shoes, I think)

Current stores that are moving into new wing:
- Garage Clothing (2nd level, on northern fringe of food court)
- Sports Experts (1st level, anchored at the Eastern end of the mall)
- Dynamite (2nd level, south side)
- Le Chateau (2nd level, north side).

New Stores opening or already open:
- Zumies (1st floor, north side)
- Tommy Guns Barber Shop (2nd level, on southern fringe of the food court)
- Justice/Brothers (2nd level, next to Tommy Guns)
- Ivivva (ie, Lulu Lemon for teen girls) (1st floor, south side)

...That's about all I can remember.

Also, according to the Globe and Mail, Bombay Company, and Stokes have filed for bankruptcy protection, so I'm not sure what that means for the Bayshore locations. Bombay Company had 75% off clearance sale signage in the window and what looks to be a smaller space (downsizing?) opening soon in front of the Bay.

Oh, and there are some new furniture pieces scattered about the mall:
