We happened to find a cancellation spot at Golden Ears Provincial Park camping ground in Maple Ridge, so out Saturday night was spent out in the woods. It was a busy summer weekend and every single spot had been taken, so this was a really lucky find.

We were happy to find that our spot that to the side from the crowded areas, next to quiet forest.

We didn't do much over the weekend, other than swimming in the beautiful Alouette Lake which was nice and warm.

Very nice campground. I hadn't been in like 8 years and then went again in July. Nice spacing between campsites and great underbrush for privacy. Also, you've got the same tent as me!

Haha. What can I say - it's a good deal at MEC.

Yeah, GE camground is well-organizee and properly spaced. It's a huge place with three separate areas. We stayed at the middle one.

The only thing that made me sad was seeing two campfires in the evening despite ban. I hope they got ticketed for those, but I didn't see a ranger. Stupid people.

Few summers ago I did a trip to see how the 7am rush hour looks like at Alex Fraser Bridge.

There is a convenient pedestrian path on both sides of the bridge.

Fraser River and New Westminster slowly waking up.

Highway 17 following the river shoreline.

Fog and mist are very common over East Richmond fields during autumn and winter. They make for a scenery that is like a painting.

Last week a thick fog blanketed over Metro Vancouver for several days.

Low lying fog takes the metropolitan area in the night.

Wow those are spectacular photos.

Back when I lived in Vancouver I did a lot of work up at SFU. Used to love driving up Burnaby Mountain on a dark foggy day and breaking through the clouds right before the top. Back then Wall Centre wasn't even built but you'd see the Bentalls and a few others poking their top few floors above the clouds. it was really neat.

Thank you for all the comments, guys. Happy to deliver.

Lights at Lafarge in Coquitlam is a fun free-of-charge Christmas light display along the shore of Lafarge Lake.

The event is easy to reach with the new Evergreen Extension.

all that development around Brentwood is impressive. My office was not far from there and we used to go to the mall for lunch every once in a while. Sure looks a lot different now

Few weeks ago we checked out a reasonably priced sub-penthouse at the Legacy Towers in East Brentwood. There is nothing much nearby than the Skytrain station right next to the two towers.

While the unit was in nice condition and good size, we didn't like the area which is surrounded by industrial area. It also feels quite far from Brentwood Town Centre which is basically a train ride away.
