Per a 2/15/18 document, occupancy is expected to begin in June.

Apologies if this posted before (I don't recall seeing it in my daily checkins). It contains various diagrams and photos of the 18th street tunnel: http://www.pspe-philly.org/oea/2016OEA/OEA16Pennoni.pdf

^Very cool.

I see there are always 1-2 security guards down in the Comcast Center food court where the tunnel begins, and the area is roped off-- I'm so tempted to try to sneak back there and check it out.

The spine still has a little ways to go, more than 6-7 floors-- but it is making good process.

As far as Comcast 3, at the corner of 19th and Arch (the parking lot) - the Byers School next door has been building some odd 2-story addition to the back of the building. So it does not seem like they are going anywhere.

Working in the city last night, the spire was lit, but it was very dull. I hope that isn’t the perminant lighting.

That's just construction lighting.

Does anyone know if the new Comcast Technology Center can be seen when driving across the Ben Franklin Bridge?

That last pic is awesome! It’s weird that you can’t see the material/color change on the spine from that angle.

Great find TCO - thanks for posting!

I don't have a photo of it, but you can see the top peeking out from behind CC1.

the top of the lantern looks different than that large solid piece they hoisted up with the Christmas tree on top back in November? It looks like there's an open area now. Also, maybe it's just the angle of the photo but does the cladding extend up higher than the framing? And what is that tubular, thing, wrapping around in two rectangles?

It’s for the Building Maintenance Unit or BMU for short. Both the large/main roof and the spire have the track in place for the BMU. You can see the large/main BMU in place already in a lot of the previous pics. Looks like a crane.

BMU is used for cleaning the windows and necessary exterior maintenance.

All along the image of Spiderman with a bottle of Windex cleaning those windows were as honest as Santa Claus giving free toys to everyone.

I love to see that. From just about every angle, this is clearly the tallest building in the city, by far. From South Philly, Liberty Place looks taller than the first Comcast Center.

And damn, the W really came up fast, didn't it?
