Rode past this on bike crossing the bridge earlier, and its huge.

I like the way it's off from the pack here...

All by its lonesome

I guess it'll have some company in a few years once those other towers are built.

Man Arrested After Scaling 71-Story Construction Crane

BY JAKE OFFENHARTZ
AUG 13, 2017

Quote:
Police rescued then arrested a 25-year-old man after he was caught climbing a construction crane on the 71st-story of a building in Lower Manhattan last night.

Thrill-seeker Andrew Liu began his climb at around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, police said. He was arrested two hours later—grinning as he was escorted out of the building, according to witnesses. Liu, who lives in Manhattan, was not suicidal, and carrying a portable camera to record his ascent, police said.

The stunt took place at 118 Fulton Street near Dutch Street, at the construction site of a mixed-use tower expected to be completed next year.
Liu was charged with burglary, criminal endangerment, criminal trespass, according to police.

These rooftoppers take some amazing shots. Shame he got caught. But he'll be at it again. Takes some serious guts to do that. It's one thing to not be afraid of heights when secured by barricades or a window, but to be inches from falling 600 ft, is a different story. Russians tend to be amazing at scaling buildings for some reason and hanging off cranes.

I drink Vodka, but the only thing I've scaled is a waterslide full of vomit on the floor.

Think it looks pretty good and it helps divert the attention away from the horrendous public housing commie blocks on the East River.
