GOLD COAST, Australia | hkskyline's 2008 #2 - Q1 Observation Deck

Q1 stands 80 floors high above Gold Coast, with an observation deck locatd at levels 77 and 78. This building was the reason why I wanted to visit Gold Coast. I wasn't interested in theme parks. I didn't have enough time for them anyway.

North - I remember when I saw photos of Gold Coast for the first time on SSC, I was quite amazed at how many skyscrapers there are around here.

West - more sprawly, but with so many homes by the water, it's probably very expensive sprawl.

South - again, a stunning view like the north side.

East

GJ!

Alot of those tall, bland, 80-esque remind me of South Florida and Coastal Brazil.

That's right!

And not often you get to see observation views at a beach.

It looks like here, but with hills in the West (we have wetlands).

Reminds me of Waikiki, but with a much better beach (and taller skyscrapers, to boot).

I see why it's called the "GOLD" coast! Fantastic views! Has that Miami look to it...except for the mountains there.
