That's a great photo. The building in between the two babooshkas is what preceded the Dominion Bank, where the Bridgman's are today. To the right of that is the Savoy Hotel, which was given a Modern-on-the-cheap makeover in the early 1950s. That's probably the Sutherland Hotel (still there) off in the distance on the far right of the photo.

Going Downtown, the Portage Avenue book, Russ Gorluck (?), is now working on a book about the North End. It has the word "mosaic" in the title, so I hope it's not too cheesy. I look forward to the pictures.
