No your not! Do you know how many honey's I could have banged from this storm if I were'nt a married man? OMG Man it's insane, it's like women feel like they need a strong latino to keep em' warm during these blizzard like conditions!!!

It's true you'd be amazed how far shoveling out a lady's car can get you, or even just helping them out a little bit, I swear they are just throwing me the P_ _ _ _.....

Ahh, I love COLORADO.

Oh BTW Gabe, DJason Great pics guys...

sweet. I want a blizzard! The eastern Great Lakes have gone almost 2 years without a major snowstorm (not counting lake effect). I'm anxiously watching the development of a huge storm headed my way for Christmas and Boxing Day...of course, getting rid of the 50 degree weather is probably the first step to ever seeing snow again in my life!!
I'm envious...great pics. Denver looks pretty sweet.
Personally, I think urban cities look their best in the snow. Cars are neutralized and everything is quieter.
Enjoy!

i guess this will make for a great white christmas after all. it's rather odd how the temps are just hovering around 40 degrees instead of the 50's we normally get after snowstorms...and of course, our typical blue skies after snowing remains true, so we get to have a bunch of snow still (2 feet is hard to melt in 3 days, unless it's in the 60's or 70's...which did happen in the blizzard of 2003) that will remain untouched and should have bright blue skies as well. and by christmas, roads will be pretty much 100% dry too. and i got 2 days where i got to work from home as well. it's a win win win situation

DC83: i'll gladly give you some of this snow if you want. personally, i'd rather it snow in the mountains and leave us alone. however, i'll keep the city

Was that queso in the tupperware container?

Man, you're lucky to have snow. If I were in Denver I'd get in my truck, throw it in 4-wheel drive, and drive around. You know, it's important to have 4-wheel drive in Houston...

One of the coolest things ever was 2 years ago when we had a white Christmas here in Corpus Christi. I'm headed home to Houston tomorrow...it won't be a white Christmas but it will be a wet Christmas (eve, that is).

Speaking of the blizzard of 2003, did any buildings collapse this time?

There was only one at a warehouse in Aurora that I heard of having problems, and I'm not even sure the roof collapsed any. It might have just stressed under the weight.

I hurt my arm shoveling all that snow by myself.

It wasn't a warehouse in Aurora, it was a Save-A-Lot supermarket... And yes, the roof did partially collapse.

Thanks for tacking on my night shots Gabe. I have a camera full of pictures from the same day you took all yours. Now if only I could find some time to edit them so I might post a couple more.

Nice shots too. I'm surprised we didn't run into one another.

there was news of a carport collapsing...but those things are soo cheaply built to begin with. this was a much lighter snow this time around. and we didn't loose the best club in denver as a result of this snow, thankfully.

Here's a couple shots I took last Thursday from my first blizzard as a Coloradan. I sent a bunch of these back to my friends and family in California and they all basically said, "WTF?!?!". ha ha. And yes, I was supposed to fly back for X-mas on Friday morning out of DIA... needless to say that didn't happen and this became my first official Christmas actually here in Denver.

And just as a sidenote- there's a lot of cool video footage on youtube right now if you type in "Denver blizzard".

What's this I hear there may be another blizzard in the Denver area later this week? Hope you don't get the double whammy, but please don't send any of it to the east coast.

Here's the latest I've heard so far.

Dreaming of a white New Year's Eve
By Rocky Mountain News
December 26, 2006

Just when you thought it was safe to come out of the igloo, here comes another storm.

While warm chinook winds are blowing down from the foothills this morning, melting last week’s blizzard, the National Weather Service is saying there is a potential for significant snowfall and another major winter storm over the eastern slopes of the Rockies blowing in on Thursday.

Forecasters say it appears likely the storm will produce widespread upslope snowfall against the eastern slope of the Rockies starting Thursday and tracking into Friday.

However, where the heaviest snowfall will occur depends on the strength and track of the storm, and that is uncertain at this time, the Weather Service reports.
