In reality tho, I would like to see Tower 2 be built at some point. That is a rather cool design and would look awesome next to One World Trade.

The base is already designed for the current tower. Can't change the look either. Like the height. It is unchangeable. Tower 2 however will be 1,350 feet tall. They will look very close to each other in height so they will be fraternal twins, but not identical twins.

So, the antenna we see in the picture is going to be placed on the top of the building, with no type of covering, so that's what we'll see?

If no compromise is made then yes, I just can't imagine that Childs and the PA will let this happen with all the bad publicity... even Durst, not that he cares though.

I hope they'll at least paint it white or gray and not just have the exposed steel on the antenna.

So they're going to expose that piece of metal to the elements because the radome is "too expensive" and "too dangerous" to maintain?

I'd imagine that they will come up with an alternate design to cover up the antenna and communication ring. Leaving the communication ring as naked steel really does not look right. Even the orginal 1wtc had some white paint strips or white tubes covering parts of the antenna, so I know they will fix this antenna issue

It looks like they've passed the observation levels and are working on the level the restaurant would have been on.

That's the communications ring without microwave dishes. They'll inevitably be added at a later date when tenants and stations need them.

The Durst family wanted so bad to make the WTC what it wanted that they're manipulating the PA to turn it into garbage. This would not have flown well had Silverstein still been behind the reigns.

I don't understand why it's flying with the PA, I can't imagine they couldn't do something about this.

I wish people would stop saying change the height or base of tower 2. In reference to the height, the foundations have been set to handle those floors. Adding 10 for more is dangerous, modern marvels did an episode on that. Changing the base means destroying the foundation work
