LOL... Classic canuck fan ignoring reality and what the rest of the NHL sports world is saying for years... all bottled up into one game here ^

I love how Kesler looks like he has been shot as he dives with no one around him and takes out Quick.

Mmmm, this thread is worse than HFboards. I was hoping the atmosphere would be more relaxed in here, but as usual certain people like to cause drama.

Only comment I agree with here is NHL is kind of a joke.

Wow, a bit of BS from all 3 games last night, Weber takes the cake though, what a tool!

Glad to see LA win, though I would have preferred Detroit and Pittsburgh win, I have their players in my pool.

Weber total douche

A bright spot for the Canucks though, Loo didn't blow it for them this time.

Please oh please L.A. keep it going.

It's not the refs fault if the Canucks lose this series. They've been playing undisciplined, and sometimes outright stupid. It's almost like they decided that after hearing about how soft they were last year that they needed to come out and play a rougher game, but it's looking forced and messy. If they want to go deep in the playoffs they should reign it in and play their own game.

That said, the Canucks really haven't changed since last year. They are just as, if not more so, reprehensible and utterly annoying as they've ever been.

The whining, the talking to refs, the looking at refs for calls after plays when they get a little tiny shove or a glove in the face, the diving.... the list goes on and on. I'm going to start a drinking game. Take a drink every time a Canuck looks at the refs after the play expecting a call. Except I think I'd be out of beer by the first intermission.

I've really come to loathe TSN and the big freakin' deal they'll (and already have started to) make of this.

There's really no worse than Canadian media coverage of NHL events. Especially when it comes to the Montreal / Vancouver centric media.

As reported in the Globe and Mail.....

It appears the author of a tweet on the Los Angeles Kings’ official Twitter feed mocking the Vancouver Canucks is getting hauled on the carpet....“To everyone in Canada outside of B.C. – you’re welcome,” was posted at 1:26 a.m. Thursday morning by @LA Kings, which is operated by the team.

http://www.theglobeandmail.com/sport...rticle2399784/

Funny and true? Yes. Classy or sportsmanlike? Absolutely not. Some things are best left unsaid, even better left unpublished. Whoever posted this is in some trouble. They did, however, say what a lot of us feel though.

Yes, even though it's true the media narrative is that we all must feign outrage about it.

But really, I would have waited until after say, the elimination game Then at least the media lackeys could take the Summer off instead of whine all series.

A teams official Twitter account isn't supposed to be unbiased. You shouldn't subscribe to them unless you like that team.

Their other tweet about a gust of wind sending Kesler tumbling was quite appropriate, too~

In other news, somehow Weber was only fined $2500. That's a little shocking, all things considered.

I'm fairly confident if it were just about any other player in the league, especially on certain teams, it would be multi-game.

What a chickenshit ruling by the NHL. Weber makes $3000 per minute of ice time.

I suppose it's open season on turnbuckling peoples heads into the boards.

Weber should have at least gotten a game.. Maybe Bertuzzi will come into the ring next match.

Bitz should be out for the rest of the series. What a disgusting elbow to the head. Kesler's a douche too.

I'm making a last minute change to my predictions. I meant to put Ottawa as my pick for that series, but inadvertently put the Rangers. I see Nashville and Ottawa as dark horses for the playoffs......and for the record I did predict Nashville as a dark horse before last night's win.

SERIES 'D' 4 PITTSBURGH VS 5 PHILADELPHIA - Philly in 7
Western Conference

SERIES 'E' 1 VANCOUVER VS 8 LOS ANGELES - Van in 5
SERIES 'F' 2 ST. LOUIS VS 7 SAN JOSE - SJ in 7
SERIES 'G' 3 PHOENIX VS 6 CHICAGO - Chi in 6
SERIES 'H' 4 NASHVILLE VS 5 DETROIT - Nash in 6

Philly - Pittsburgh should be great. I'm very interested to see how Nashville does, I think they might be the darkhorse of the West.

I wonder if the Canucks actually realize that diving is not something that will give them advantage, and only makes people hate them more? Ref's included. The ref's see this shit. The last thing a ref wants is to be embarrassed. I bet the Canucks will get the most penalties in this series, and it will be their own fault.

^ I actually think Kesler's bitchy diving earlier in the game is why he got a penalty for the douchey snowplow he pulled on Quick a bit later (though he would have deserved something for that anyways)
