Lucky, I wish I live in New York so I can capture that moment.

Why is floor 104 taking so long? Does it have to do with the heat?

Well from I've been seeing it has been taking so long because of weather conditions and because of the thunderstorm today, so maybe thats why. But I heard that Saturday could be a good day so lets see what happens tomorrow.

One World Trade Center was in Madagascar 3,tall and fully completed.Yeah,I'm very childish when it comes to animated movies.

Edit:I even found out an article,or at least a portion of it talking about WTC in the Madagascar trilogy.

"Whereas the series previously featured the old World Trade Center in a flashback of Alex's arrival in the city (a choice Darnell and McGrath say they were sometimes criticized for), the new film contains a background image of the new One World Trade Center. The thought to include the building occurred to the directors earlier this year while they were in New York doing audio recording and saw the rising skyscraper while walking down the street.
The new WTC might still have weeks to go before the completion of construction, but in animated form, it's already done."

what a storm! Rain came down in buckets. It's strength didn't surprise me, following a heat wave and all.

My shot of the pre-storm effect. I saw this and was like “WHERE IS MY CAMERA AAHHHHH”

By the way, this scene was especially mind-blowing for me because from my apartment, at this time of day, the light is supposed to hit 1WTC from the right (west) side. Here it’s backwards! That’s some spooky lighting right there.

Now those are some cool photos. Unfortunately I wasn’t watching until the storm had rolled in, by which time I couldn’t even see 1WTC proper from my window.

Thanks Carlos, I love thunderstorms too... when I don’t have to be anywhere, of course!

Here’s another shot from the same series. This was really an amazing bit of luck that I noticed this, I was on the phone with my dad and he mentioned that they had storms in CT, and I was like “yeah we had some earlier today, but if I look out the window right now it’s OH WOW um dad I have to go take some pictures right now so I’m hanging up ok bye luv ya” click.

Hm, I may have overdone the “Dutch angle” effect on this one.

Now that lightning won't effect the crane right?

Cranes are protected from this sort of thing. The people that build the cranes know of this. They are protected with devices and stuff.

Devices and stuff? Very technical!

The crane is probably grounded somehow, but the important part, the cab, is most likely surrounded by a Faraday Cage.
