Nice shots of the new Terminals, it looks like they are making great progress.
Someone please tell me that Kenner is going to make the adjacent property owners clean up their junk yards.

not really surprised as I never saw the appeal.. certainly no tourists will go there. its a beautiful space well from the outside since ive never actually gone in there... wish it would become a steakhouse like del friscos..

Aww man! I love that place and hope that isnt the case! Every time I have been it is packed and usually a solid mix of locals (usually from Kenner/Metairie) and tourists. I know its not the best steak in the world, but it isnt bad and all you can eat makes it a great place to go with the boys. I would be sad to see it go

Just a rumor I heard .. and the person I heard from I don't believe always has the best information so that's why I asked ... so unless they say anything I'd take with a grain of salt then

Any updates on The Odeon?

On a side note, why have none of the South Market District apartment complexes been built with balconies (including the Odeon's renderings)? I would think that would be very appealing living in the CBD. Does it have to do with costs, taxes, etc.?

Delta is launching a MSY-BOS route. They've been pretty aggressive in their MSY presence as of late. It makes me wonder if there is something brewing for them at the new airport.

Does seem like some interesting expansion for them ... also the ba route is extended with 5 days a week through end of summer 2018

This is more about BOS, where Delta is building their hub, than MSY. I'd like to see expansion as much as anyone, but a Saturday-Sunday service on a regional jet is hardly aggressive expansion.

That being said, the new terminal should help things. With all of the gates behind the same security checkpoint, Delta and others could add international flights without having to tow aircraft.

It is more about BOS, I agree. However, they also added SEA. (Also weekend service) It makes me wonder if they are testing the market for a small hub.

Moonwalk Renovation

Renovations on the Moonwalk begin July 14th and are scheduled to finish in spring 2018. No new renderings, but there will be shade trees, improved lighting, and stairs down to the water. This is badly needed and will be a great boost to majorly updating the entire riverfront for people.

This is a great proposal/addition to the WD.. All the options look great, I think I'm leaning towards the 2nd option. All of them remind me of some modern buildings seen in Berlin/Europe. Works well with the WD current aesthetic

^ Same here. It's funny how windows gradually grow larger by upper floors in option 2.

It might seem harsh to people by lower floors, but this design is actually good so no one walking by in the street can see too much of their interiors (privacy is something precious), whereas upper floors are those to enjoy the most natural daylight.

Very smart design, it seems to me.
