Exclamation Tao Tao Sky Tower

he Tan Tao Sky tower in the Binh Thanh District exemplifies innovation and the future of Vietnam. A truly unique design, the 300-meter, 84-story tower provides for an unprecedented international presence in the quickly developing Ho Chi Minh City, and is among the first structures in the country to boldly demonstrate a modern society competing in the global arena. The folding surfaces and diagonal exterior structure give the project its iconic presence in the city while joining multiple programs within a single structure of 270,000 square meters.

The building is designed and constructed with the newest structural technology, maximizing material with thin diagonal structure that takes advantage of the natural forces on a high-rise structure. The envelope and mechanical systems also bring new sustainable strategies to maximize energy savings. The design highlights and integrates these systems as visible to the public though its envelope. This new technology elevates the construction knowledge of the city for future development and attracts an international clientele on par with Singapore, Hong Kong, Taipei, and Kuala Lumpur.

A bending envelope allows dramatic sweeping views of the Song Sai Gon River delta. A mid-level sky lobby is integrated with the convention hall and broadcast center above retail and office space. The multiple programs joined by the sky lobby create a busy interior street on the 31st floor with views of the city for the public programs and most of the users of the building. Below the sky lobby are 5 levels of retail space and 19 levels of office space. Above the sky lobby, the 500 key 5 star hotel and 660 unit residential programs are separated by a large void, splitting the mass of the tower and giving light and air to these critical living spaces.

PetroVietnam tower~~

The PetroVietnam Construction Joint Stock Corporation (PVC) is planning to build a 528-m tower, the tallest building in SouthEast Asia after Petronas Twin Tower in Malayesia.

The project is estimated to cost 1.2 billion USD which will be contributed by PVC, its parent company the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PVN), the Ocean Group and the real estate developer SSG Group, PVC Chairman Trinh Xuan Thanh said.

The 102-storey PVN Tower will sit on an area of 25 hectares in Me Tri commune in Hanoi ’s outlying district of Tu Liem. It will feature trade centres, offices for lease and apartments.

Construction of the project is scheduled to begin in early 2011 and complete after 30-36 months

P.S
Sorry, but I chagned some of the informations on this project because I got it off of Vietnam to build second tallest tower in Asia -- Vietnam+ (VietnamPlus) Only because they are false information, that's why I changed it. but there's a chance that it might be the tallest one in SouthEast Asia instead, just not the world.

When the tower is completed, it will be at 102 floors standing at 528 meters and 1732 feet high! that's almost the same height as the One World Trade Center in NYC or Freedom Tower! which stands at 541.33 meters (antenna) 1,776 feet high and 105 floors. 400.5 meters, 1,314 feet high for the top floors! as for the roof it's only 417, and 1,368 feet high.
If the height for PetroVietnam is the top floors then we would beat the Freedom tower because they dont count antennas as a part of the building.

Vincom Landmark 81 to Become Vietnam's Tallest Tower

Quote:
By 2018, Vincom Landmark 81 will dominate the Ho Chi Minh City skyline, which like many Asian cities, is undergoing rapid transformation. The city's top five tallest towers were all completed in the last decade, including the current highest building, the 263-metre Bitexco Financial Tower. The Vietcombank Tower is one of the most recent additions to the changing cityscape, which will soon be altered further by a twin-tower development called The One.
