Hey, if Obama is such a hot deal then let's see him agree to twelve 90 minute unmoderated debates with McCain, where each candidate questions the other and responds to the other's questions!

Like Lincoln v. Douglas debates.

What do you take it he means by his remark (which I have quoted above) that he will cut pork ?

Seriously, if Obama would agree to debate McCain it would be very informative for the electorate.

Andrea, Obama saying he will cut pork is fluff. They all make such promises. Let's see specifically where he proposes to cut pork, other than the military budget which we all know he wants to cut. There's a lot more to the budget than the military.

Damnit. I am serious that before you vote for John McCain you have to watch this. This guy is scary. He is crazy. He is an old fart. Most importantly, he is a f'en liar!!! Fiorenza you are unamerican if you do not watch this.

BD, that's an anti-Iraq piece from Ron Paul's campaign. Surely you can do better than that!? I have no problem with anything McCain has ever said about Iraq. I support the US presence in Iraq. You're barking up the wrong tree with me.

It was 90% not what McCain said, but what others said McCain said. And one of their "experts", Scott Ritter, has been thoroughly discredited as a child molester, among other things.

I'm not sure I've heard anyone say Obama is a hot deal, but it would drive me batty to hear any two people talk that long, even if it was Bill Kristol and Ann Coulter.

How about three unmoderated debates, with no coaching and no hidden bulges in the back of the coat for either side?

You were caught. I'm sorry but would you please refrain from using the word fluff?

Please put forward a single one of McCain's policies that you endorse.

Obama isn't afraid to debate and indicated he was interested in it. He would like to unite his party for a week or so first if that is okay with you. Hillary supporters are still trickling in. They need to marinade a bit before he starts roasting McCain.

Sorry, but Obama is shedding fluff off his empty suit.

McCain's policies...I endorse them all, except I think McCain needs to be more flexible on Anwar. We need that oil. We needed to start drilling in 1996 when Clinton vetoed the enabling legislation.

What don't you believe? I didn't lie to you... And I was indicating that you should actually present a policy of McCain's that is better than that of Obama. Do you support cutting the gas tax for instance?

And dante, I wouldn't get too excited about polls just yet. As you may recall, Gore and Kerry were leading in the polls right up until they lost their respective elections!

I didn't say you lied to me. I think Obama or his handlers are lying about his willingness to engage in straight-up debate with McCain....no pre-chosen questions, no questions from the audience or moderators.

You recall incorrectly and Gore did win the popular vote. Kerry was behind for weeks.

Before you say that it is just June. People have made up their minds. No one reached 50% support before September last election

Yep. The polls are skewed in favor of Democrats (especially this year), and the electoral college is skewed in favor of Republicans.

Obama and his handlers know he can't hack it, especially not against McCain.
