Two-Tower Square Station Project Breaks Ground in Miami
Quote:
If the downtown exodus that propelled the rise of the ostensibly utopian suburban lifestyle defined our cities in the post-war years, the aspirations of today's young professionals indicate an antithesis of that trend. There's a desire to be close to the amenities that an urban cityscape provides, and transit-oriented developments are responding to those inclinations in some of North America's largest cities. School Board station, the northern terminus of Miami's free Metromover transit system, is the impetus for the city's newest residential project to break ground, a two-tower development named Square Station.
Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill to Design Luxury Miami Tower
Quote:
The world's tallest building, Dubai's Burj Khalifa, was designed by Adrian Smith of Skidmore, Owings and Merrill Chicago. In the years since that career-defining achievement, the visionary architect departed SOM offices with peers Gordon Gill and Robert Forest, forging their own successful practice in 2006 that has quickly gained a reputation for imaginative and sustainable design. Their expertise and ambitious concepts have brought them to Jeddah, where Adrian Smith is outdoing himself in designing the next tallest building in the world. But the firm is now swapping desert landscapes with breezy beaches, having been recently appointed to a property fronting Biscayne Bay in Miami, where OKO Group — itself rapidly becoming a household name in the city's development scene — is planning a 47-storey luxury condominium development.
2500 Biscayne Boulevard Rising in Central Miami

Quote:
Rising from the former footprint of an all-but-gone 1920s-era Spanish style apartment block, the construction of Greystone Property Development and Alta Developers' 2500 Biscayne Boulevard has been progressing steadily since construction began back in 2015. Located in the heart of the quickly rising Edgewater district of Miami, the Behar, Font & Partners-designed, 20-storey, 156-unit apartment block has already begun to become a part of the local skyline.

A Dozen Supertall Towers Are Now Planned In Miami

Quote:
One Fifth – a concept project proposed for the The Central Baptist Church at 500 Northeast 1st Avenue. Renderings showed an 1,100-foot tower.

Sky Plaza at 251 E. Flagler Street recieved FAA Approval earlier this year for heights of 837-feet and 1,001-feet, but the owners have been marketing the property for sale.

Skyrise is approved for a height of 1,049 feet above sea level, and will include an entertainment complex. Developer Jeff Berkowitz recently brought on Legends, owned by the New York Yankees and Dallas Cowboys, as a development partner.

World Trade Center of the Americas is proposed at 988 feet. The 77-story project is proposed to include office, hotel, retail and residential at 340 Biscayne Boulevard, with work estimated to begin in late 2018.

One Bayfront Plaza is now proposed to be built at a height of 1,049 feet, according to an August filing by developer Tibor Hollo. The project was previously approved at a height of 1,009 feet, and is expected to include office, hotel and retail space. It will replace Hollo’s existing One Bayfront Plaza at 100 S. Biscayne Blvd.

Capital at Brickell is in the planning stages by China City Construction (one of China’s largest developers) at 1420 S. Miami Ave. The project will include 3.2 million square feet of space, with completion in six years. The developers have said that they hope to build up to 1,069 feet, but the FAA has never approved a height above 1,049 feet in Miami.

One MiamiCentral
was approved in early 2016 for a height of of 991 feet above ground, or 1,000 feet above sea level. The project is expected to include office, hotel and residential space. Construction on the retail-heavy first phase is already underway.

300 Biscayne has been approved at a height of 1,049 feet. The project is to include 500 luxury condo units, and is being designed by a world-renowned architect. Developer PMG is keeping details of the project under tight wraps, but is building a sales center that will open in the first quarter of 2017.

The Towers by Foster + Partners (twin 1,049-foot towers) was just announced this week by a partnership of three developers (Tibor Hollo, Frank McCourt and Corigin) at 1201 Brickell Bay Drive. It is to include 660 condo units, with ground floor retail and public space. The height has already been approved by the FAA.

One Brickell City Centre (1,049 feet) was the first to break the FAA’s height barrier and gain approval at 1,049 feet last year. It is proposed to become the second phase of Swire Properties’ massive Brickell City Centre project at 700 Brickell Avenue (most of the first phase is opening this week). The Arquitectonica-designed tower is expected to include a mix of office, hotel, residential and retail space, with groundbreaking in late 2017

Its linked below titled "NXT". I usually do that to make it neat.

My style of posting sources:

" ===== "
"Source"
(ussually embedded: example wall street journal would be "WSJ" with the link embedded in it.

If you look at all of my posts, I give credit, but I just do it in a neater way versus just posting a link and having it sprawl out. Check the source code for "NXT", it's a working link.

Cassa Grove a multi-family project (116 units) has recently been approved by the Miami UDRB in Coconut Grove next to the Metrorail station. The project will be a footstep away from the planned Underline project.
