I read that CAD International is working on the new interior design for the Cosmopolitan. They did the interior for the W Hotel and Residences that was canceled a few years back. Those renderings of the W Hotel are on their website and in my opinion would be perfect for the Cosmopolitan. You can check those renderings by following the link, go to the gallery and it will be the Hotel and Residences Las Vegas.

Here is the article mentioning CAD International... This article mentions a June 2010 opening, but I think a Sept. opening is more accuarte.

I could not disagree more. I was very much in the know about the W project and one of the reasons I did not participate was due to their choice of interior design. The look was more Neo 70's done cheaply. One reason I chose to get involved with the Cosmo, along with location and views, was I knew the Eichner's would design something special for the room interiors. Anyone who saw the models at either of the two locations would have seen the use of more expensive tiles, veneers and layouts than any or Hotel or Condo hotel in Vegas. Not everyone might like the actual colors or ??? but the overwhelming number of folks I took to the Models were BLOWN AWAY. For the new owners to have relied on Related Group, who have been nothing but a mess for Vegas unit purchasers, for choosing interior design and firms, was and is nothing short of bad business. Now Deutche is looking for new designs even though they have room designs right at their finger tips.
We do not know for sure how long the delay will be while this new design comes into existence but what a shame to lose those room interiors previously shown as models. Of course it will be interesting to see if the cost of materials goes up or down from the previous concepts but my guess is cost savings may be at the heart of the matter.
