The inner suburbs of Paris are some of the most complex and -therefore- most compelling areas of the city. I like that they have strange scales, incoherencies, fragments of neighborhoods and industry... The buildings don't match and the streets are often ambiguously urban/suburban simulatenously. Personally I like this more than "la Paris des photos.."

Some expliquation with some new pics.

Arcueil la Vache Noir (A district under in redevellopement in the municipality of Arcueil, like the majority of redevellopement in Paris it is 60% of office bulding, 40% of residencial building and a comercial center.

1.

2.

3. the comercial center

4.

5.

6.

7.

8. this street is in Montrouge but the cranes are in Arceuil

Peripherique with modern office buildings in Montrouge side.
9.

10.

The size of Montrouge is only 2.07 km² (0,80 sq mi) but this municipality has more than ten chinese restaurants if you imagine that the majority of the 128 municipality in inner suburbs like that's, you can imagine that Paris chinese community is huge.
11.

12.

13.

14.This is that I call a fake japanese restaurant, it is in fact a old chinese restaurant who became japanese for make more money.

15.

And for finish, a video of a tour in southern inner suburbs (not by me)
Issy les Moulineau (see the part 2) at Montrouge. The Municpalities traversed is Issy les Moulineaux, Vanves, Malakoff and Montrouge but you cannot see the limit between two municipalities.
Video Link

Those suburbs was not affected by the riot in 2005.
