When I was in Québec City (and still today, but less often) I used to read a blog called QuébecUrbain (www.quebecurbain.qc.ca). You might have heard of it. I would say it is an hybrid between Spacing Montréal which is more on the artsy stuff and your blog which promotes ideas and municipal news (sort of like yours).
I tried to find a similar type of blog on Ottawa, but I was not able (maybe you know one...) but I could not. For this reason, I decided to start my own blog with a similar concept than QuébecUrbain. I decided to call it OttawaUrbain (for now, it might switch to UrbanOttawa). I have been post content for the last few weeks and I am about to launch it soon even though it is still in Beta release
Thanks for the tip. I see she has a piece on street clutter - a longtime pet peeve of mine as it keeps most of Ottawa, definitely the downtown core, looking distinctly second rate. New street furniture may help, but there is much more that should be done.

Our boundaries are Richmond Road to the north, Carling Avenue to the South, Tweedsmuir Avenue to the East, and Island Park Drive to the West. I think that is more a real estate marketing term than an actual neighbourhood designation.
