Noticed it too. Probably something having to do with Falun Dafa

So it looks like they chose Metcalfe as the terminus instead of O'Connor so the route is mostly right turns instead of mostly left turns.
That’s a reasonable compromise IMHO though looking at that map it makes me think even more that they should put in a contra flow bus lane east of the War Memorial. It would not only shorten the route but avoid a traffic light.

The way they used to run the streetcars? That is when they called it Confusion Square.

Interesting. That was before my time so I Googled it and found this picture. Looks to me that the confusion was more because of crazy design with streetcars all running on one side of the road and cars all running on the other.

I would suggest keeping the buses on the right side of the road (unless they are turning left). So no, not "the way they used to run the streetcars."

If it's buses only it wouldn't really cause too much confusion, operators would be aware of it. The stretch of Albert between Empress and Bronson one, and general traffic handles it fine.

It would be a little different than Albert between Empress and Bronson. More like what is planned for STO on Lyon between Queen and Sparks.

From OC's fall service page, "All trips end on Queen at Metcalfe."

Filed for future reference.

One can't help but escape the sense that OC Transpo is going to keep trying and trying and trying to short as many downtown routes as possible, if they can get away with it.
