Has Aura made an impact in the skyline yet? Would be cool to see.

Love that last pic there Caltrane...gives a differnt perpective to the building, and a better sense of how tall it already is.

It is big already. It's going to have a huge impact on the skyline when the other 50 or so floors are completed.

my goodness, it is sure going to be a do-Z. you can just start to make out,(imagine) the scale of this towers girth. i just love this one and going nuts with anticipation. the skyscraper gods are pleased with Toronto and this tower is the ultimate result of that. haha

I think it's the girth that will make this tower in terms of it's effect on the skyline. It will feel more like an office tower (with far too many balconies) largely because of the size of the floor plates, which carry through about 2/3 of the height. So it will add significant density north of the main core.

The curved black curtain wall on the western side begins on the 48th level. We're currently on the 27th level, so 21 more to go and things get very interesting.

This tower should also climb even faster after the 28th level, at which point the ceiling height increases from 8 feet to 9 feet.

Well the curtain wall runs up the south face of the building from the base..

So it could get interesting in a couple of weeks.

Here is my picture from a couple weeks ago

Indeed.

Let's call it an appetizer before the main course!

This building might have turned out better if say the first 10 (non retail) floors had been office instead of residential. I'm not crazy about all those balconies on the base. Would have looked slicker without them.
