Your city's gender/personality if it was a person

Pretty straight forward. You can also talk about a famous resident who represents a certain aspect of your city.

For example, when it comes to New York, certain things pop up for me. The city is more masculine than feminine, with the skyscrapers, toughness and resilience of its people, and just the business aspect of things there. Brooklyn to me is represented by Biggie Smalls and the standard Italian American taxi driver.

Oregon city where I'm from feels like it's feminine, I guess it is because you see women working in the yard and there's lots of plants. In the historic area.

Paris.

Aka the cute little tortured woman seeking love beside and beyond sex.
I'm not a fan of that old actress, though. She was too old-fashioned, cheesy. Just not my generation at all, but I couldn't think of anyone else to embody the city.

I don't idolize any pop star anyway, standing against idolatry (that's a sin).

Why did you do this to me?

I had pizza for lunch yesterday and now you're forcing me to eat God's delicious creation again for lunch today.

Damn you and thank you.

However, that load of pepperoni and cheese is super fat... Not saying fat would necessarily be unhealthy, but you should have some of that pizza only from time to time.

I keep on favoring pasta as the Italians do. It's healthy starch that you can prepare by following hundreds of various recipes. Pasta is flexible like potatoes. It may be both cheap or pricey, depending on what goes along with it. It's been my favorite ever since I was a little kid.

Over here, people say spending time to cook is generosity, an evidence of caring, sharing and all.
So anyone should learn how to cook for their guests. Ordering Pizza Hut and the likes ain't enough.
You got to be skilled in a kitchen like a faithful mom, yourself.

if by "from time to time" you mean four meals a day, everyday (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and midnight snack) then i TOTALLY agree with you!

San Francisco switches between an angry feminazi and an affluent, better-than-you-in-every-way, gay male techie.

It depends on the day I suppose.

i can't wait until we come to our collective senses and return to the day when these techies are treated for what they are...

This is about as Asheville as you can get: Short-haired white lesbians raising an adopted child of another race. The instant this photo shoot was over they all hopped into a Subaru Outback with a golden retriever in the backseat, and headed off to go get locally-made ice cream.

(Fun fact: This family actually does live in Asheville.)

About ten years or so ago, this would have been about as Asheville as one could get:

(Fun fact: This guy ran for city council, and I once watched him perform a pagan blessing ritual on the Basilica of St. Lawrence.)

That is to say, sometime in the past decade or so Asheville changed its gender which is, come to think of it, an extremely Asheville thing to do.

Montreal's definitely a female but not a cheap trashy one. I think you're confusing Montreal with Jersey Shore. Geneviève Bujold is far more fitting for Montreal. Not only a fabulous actress but also from Montreal.
