What people are also forgetting, is that the initial plan called for a phase II, to be completed soon after phase one. The efficiency of a phase II would be undebatable when discussing whether its cost/value is warranted. Unless you're Scott Fielding of course, then Rapid Transit is a stupid idea.

Yeah it's a rush hour commute. He says the fact he has to now ride the bus east to main first along with all the stops along the way it negates the savings in time.

I could see someone heading to portage and main saving a chunk of time as there isn't really any added distance to their route but savings in come congestion. 10 to 15 mins Is not bad. I'm guessing it hasnt convinced many more people to leave the car at home and take the bus though.

Nope, the city really dropped the ball on this one. Many people are under the impression that Rapid Transit is a waste of money, because the first phase has had more complaints than it has had approvals. They have to build the second phase, and quick. None of this 2030 nonsense.

This is illegal, just FYI!

Not that he doesn't deserve it (I assume), but don't do that.

A friend of mine takes it home and says it takes him pretty much the exact same amount of time as it took him previously. Before he would catch the bus at graham and vaughn I think and it would be more of a direct route down osborne to pembina. Now he says he has to travel all the way down graham stopping at every stop then down main at every stop so the extra time it takes to get out of the downtown pretty much cancels out the savings of the rapid portion. I assume someone working closer to Portage and Main would see more benefit?
I work downtown and live near the U of M. I can definitely say I've left my car at home since rapid transit came. My commute is about 25 - 30 mins by car and about 15 - 20 mins by rapid transit (both during rush hour.) So I'm saving at least 10 minus usually in commute time and $150ish per month in parking. If I didn't work shift work, I would change my insurance over to leisure so I would save even more.

I benefit from it since I live right on the main route of rapid transit, so I'm either in a diamond lane or transit way pretty much the whole way to my place. when I'm on night shifts, there's no real difference in time for driving or transit.

Tampering with, defacing or removing a campaign sign is itself a criminal act, separate from all of those.

After Rammstein was over, the buse's were packed! My 11:30 Route 11 bus was pretty full, which in itself is rare at that time! Had to walk to my house from Portage in the rain though with nothing but my Helloween t-shirt protecting me

I have never really considered Rammstein to be metal.

More like euro-industrial-techno.

I like the sound of Rammstein's music, but being a German speaker, they're lyrics are too hard to get by sometimes. You. You. You have. You have. You have me. You asked me. Eughhhh.

But Herr Lindemann is looking pretty jacked for an older dude.
