I can't wait till Yonge between Front and Bloor fills in with skyscrapers. Another 30-40 and it will start looking like a fitting 'Main Street' for Canada's biggest city.

I like the fact that ins some of the photo's all of you have been posting, that you can see other tall-ish new builds going up to the east of this, closer to the Don Valley and the end of the Gardiner...

I think most Toronto forumers don't care about this tower. We're just hoping it dosen't scar the skyline too badly.

That's a breathtaking view. The Yonge Street canyon will look quite striking once Massey Tower, 501 Yonge, One Bloor, etc. fill in those gaps.

I really like the look of this tower, I'm just hoping that it's not spoiled by sub-par looking cladding. Looking at the tower earlier today I was not impressed with the row of glass currently residing. It looked cheap and not of the best quality. I hope it's not an indication of how the whole tower will end up looking.

What a difference 10 months make. I took a shot from this vantage point last Summer. My photo on the left, wmedia's on the right.

Wow, it's already taller than it's Flatiron-style neighbor. This things growing like a weed, but the cladding could use a little water to help it grow.

There are some issues with the Chinese manufacturer.

I am curious, did they strip the 2 floors of cladding that were on this earlier? Is it possible that they saw it looked like garbage, and demanded better? Please?!?!

The cladding should stay the same.
I believe that it was a problem with the manufacturer. The glass wasn't up to code. A few other buildings are having this problem and they covered the glass with a mesh type fabric.
It happended with the balcony glass on Parade and TIFF Bell Lightbox.

That Altus Group site should be redeveloped. The Shard (London) would look good in that spot.
