Cool NASHVILLE | 505 | 550 ft | 45 FLOORS

Tony Giarratana comes back onto the scene in a huge way with this beast, 505 CST (Church Street) at the site of the cancelled Signature Tower. 700k sq. ft. of office space and a 200 room hotel are to rise above the city in a spectacular tower that is aiming for LEED Platinum certification. The floor count and height are estimates based upon drawings and models with the Fifth Third Center at 490ft being a good structure to guess off of. The final height and floor count remain unknown but this will likely be a new tallest and possible Nashville's most striking high rise to date.

This tower is revealed the same day as a 395' apartment tower for SoBro at 3rd Ave South & Demonbreun St. and a not yet branded hotel at 4th Ave South & Molloy St. was announced as well. He is also building an 8-story apartment building in Midtown across from Centennial Park.

This is sexy as hell! Time for Tony G to get it together and get these projects built, especially 505 Church St.

I read the article and saw SCB and thought: WTH. Then I looked at the developer's website and read that Adrian Smith designed the office tower. Anyway, looks like something you'd see popping up in London.

Ridiculously handsome skyscraper!!!! The architect has a truly world-class pedigree, and it shows in this proposal. I'm sure this will get built. Nashville is absolutely on-fire right now, and I don't think Tony G will let himself strike out yet again.

I was crushed when Signature was cancelled. That said, I believe this will be a more fitting centerpiece for downtown Nashville.

If they cancel this, then life as we know it is nothing but a huge tease.

This is a much better fit for downtown Nashville and I think has a good chance of getting off the ground in less than 2 years. This will significantly shake up the downtown office market even just as a proposal at this time. As soon as I saw the design I though of projects in London and Paris.

Hopefully Tony G. is able to start fielding the proposal to potential tenants as soon as possible. The office market downtown is fairly healthy and most of the vacancies are in class B and C buildings with one size able tower on Union completely empty and facing possible revamping as a hotel.

More pie in the sky stuff from Tony. With all the proposals in Nashville right now I would be surprised if 25% get built, but at least it gives us something to talk about.

As far as the condo tower and hotel, I could see them being built, mainly because of the need for another hotel for the MCC, and the success of other condo towers downtown and in the Gulch.

With 505 Church St., its almost gonna be a battle between TG, Palmer, and the the developers of the new proposal in the Gulch over who can get funding and tenants. I honestly think TG will get 505 built, unlike Palmer, he is downtown and in a better financial state.

I guess now we will see how serious the developers of all of the commercial space in the Gulch are.

Let's see all that are a go and starting next year and have active bids out for construction or are about to: Park 25, hotel at the FYE site on West End, the apartment tower at 12th and Demonbreun, Eakin Partners office tower at 12th and Demonbreun, Pine Street Flats/Lofts. The 395' tall partner tower he has proposed is going where Rock City Machine is now and they're moving to make way for the tower. Tony owns the site for the hotel he's proposed for several years and more rooms are needed to serve the MCC. The office market is also really heating up with several companies looking to either expand or move here.

I'll second the notice that this is a very Londonesque design. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Such an awesome building. I loved Signature but this is a worthy replacement.

Beautiful. I hope that this is built. Nashville might edge out Charlotte as the No. 3 major city in the southeast after Miami and Atlanta.

It's possible someday, but if we do, I don't think it will be because of one building. Charlotte certainly has us beat in the beautiful skyscraper department anyway.

Nashville has more street life than Charlotte does, and it also has a lot of beautiful, old buildings which Charlotte lacks.
