According to this website, the Alt Hotel Saskatoon is slated to open in 2018.

18 months to get a 15 storey building framed and furnished? to me thats pretty fast, is this a reasonable timeline? unless theres 1 crane for each highrise

So did a real quick swing by the site there today. Looks like they have something being built in th hole now. They are still digging so I dont know what it could be. Maybe a sump pit?

Drove by this aft. Noticed 2 red sections for a crane. Im assuming theyll be laying concrete to hold the base in????

Should start seeing this project really move forward now with the spring season here.

Nice to see the project progressing, nice addition to Saskatoon, in Winnipeg we have a big project called True North Square going full bore and in Regina a deep hole is still being dug two years in now!

Large concrete pour taking place today for the footing. I believe it is somewhere around 600m^3.

Here is the result of the big concrete pour that occurred this past week:



Also, I believe the small hole on the right with the ladder sticking out could be the location of the tower crane. Not 100% sure though.

It would appear from the pics of the "dig", that the parkade will only be under the condo portion of the condo/hotel build. Is that right? I had assumed the parkade would extend under both, but does not appear that way.

Can't wait to see the crane as I drive over the Senator Buckwold Bridge!

The plan is to see the East Tower going into the ground later this summer. We should be able to look forward to having 3 towers underway on site at the same time.
