Yah the only person in Winnipeg that ever says "Osborne Junction" is the computer lady that announces it when the bus stops there.

Has anyone seen what the south side of the building is going to look like? I would imagine it will be blank if they're going to be building a 10 storey apartment right next door.

It looks pretty much the same: all white with the thin band of windows at each level. I took a picture earlier this week that I'll try to post...

Saw it last night, was out of town for 2 weeks haha. Excited to see what they have planned for the tower.

Is this thing going to have CRUs, or just parking on the ground floor? A bar right next to the transitway with a nice patio, a cheap happy hour, and a student night would sell all the booze.

The for lease sign refers to parking but I don't remember them building an underground parking area and I can't see a ramp of any kind, so I'm guessing main floor is where it will go... kind of depressing that a building at Confusion Corner would have main level parking, but there you go.

Yup, looks like most of the ground level is dedicated to parking:

Edit: Watch the video here -- http://www.imperialproperties.ca/com...osborne-street -- does Adrian whatshisface from Imperial remind anyone else of Philip from The Americans when he's undercover as 'Clark'?

Updating current project thread, thanks for the pics.

Damn look at that crumbling infrastructure..any way.

The look is somewhat institutional, plain, lack of glazing as already mentioned, but I have no real issue with it other than it's somewhat stark appearance in relation to the surrounding area. It works as an office location. The residential component may add some contrast when it goes up next door, ..Unless of course the second phase is similiar in appearance....Nah they woudn't do that in this city, would they?

Reconstruction of Pembina on that stretch will add dedicated bike lanes. I'm not complaining about construction.

Yes, as last years southbound completed construction and addition of dedicated bike lanes.

Southbound still in progress. Drove that route today. Before and after the Jubilee underpass.

Looking at the tender documents the southbound repaving contract ended at Arbuthnot Street. There still may be some punch list work on south side as the contract for the north and south lanes on pembina has a substantial completion date of Oct 2017.

Any of the work around Jubilee is related to one of the following: Rapid Transit / Pembina Underpass widening / Calrossie Storm sewer.

Right from Confusion Corner to Jubilee and past that curb lane all shut down. Today anyways.

Last edited by OTA in Winnipeg; May 11, 2017 at 2:03 AM. Reason: curb lane

From the Kijiji lease ad: http://www.kijiji.ca/v-commercial-of...ationFlag=true

Presumably, the view from the top.

I find your soft praise for this building, considering your critique of the Centrepoint parkade, quite funny

I like the views... I would love to work at that site. Close to Corydon, close to Osborne, easy to get to, close to the transitway for zipping down to IGF for Bomber games... man, sign me up!

I find it a little odd that Money Mart is still there and operating considering they've already started construction on that side of Pembina for the bike lane... anyone know the deal here?

Once all the big glass is in, it's gonna be a nice modern building. I like it. But it's ever more apparent the centre lot of McMillan (come on), Pembina, Donald, and Osborne [yeesh] needs to be developed. Build a parkade in the centre with street-facing buildings all around. Hell, even putting a nice 4-6 storey building between & abutting BK and the jewelry/yoga building would make a massive impact (get rid of the drive thru). Hopefully Osborne Place and the coming apartment building will spur growth there - sometimes it just takes one person to step up to cause a domino effect.
