99 is really moving along on its way now.

this is going to be over 100’ taller than goldman sachs.

it will be fun to watch as it gets close and then surpasses jc’s current tallest.

From an aesthetics standpoint, I like how its a nice balance to the LoMA skyline. From some angles, it almost appears like its part of it. The area around the tower needs more infill. Newport area is quite dense, and filled up, but I feel this portion of downtown needs more towers.

this dynamic 900 foot giant is gonna change the whole visual vibe
of the western shore of the Hudson from the esplanade
on the Manhattan side . . that jersey city skyline viewpoint
is gonna look thoroughly urban . .
an integral part of the NYC juggernaut . .

Keep building JC! This one looks like it will turn out great. From parts of Jersey, especially if you hike and drive some of the areas of Bergen, Passaic, and Morris - the skylines can merge at times (JC/Lower manhattan). I really like the design of this one.

When I think of this tower, I think Stratton Oakmont. Has a very Wall Street vibe with its base/podium. Power, prestige, and most importantly, a Quaalude with wine after a hard days work making an honest buck.

The NYC area is going to (and already does) have 5 skylines the size of and bigger than many entire mid tier cities. Midtown and Lower Manhattan keep adding to already massive skylines, and Brooklyn, LIC, and JC are seeing significant growth. The area is going to look like massive peaks and valleys of skylines and water pretty soon.

Jamaica and New Rochelle are picking up as well, though they aren't on the same height scale. Lots of new highrises between the two of them (12+ stories, not 330ft/100m) And if Newark lands Amazon's HQ2? We might be seeing skyscrapers over there as well in droves.
When the market in the city slows down, which is currently happening, that's when the market in the rest of the metro area picks up. Exciting times.

The reality of Stratton was far different.

Here is the building. We used to go into the building at the loading dock after 1:35 in the video.

Can get a nice glimpse of the status relative to 30 Hudson for 99 Hudson. Making an impact already.

This shot pretty much shows the two largest NJ Cities. Newark + Jersey City. A hotbed of density and a major population node for North NJ.

Love the verticalness of the base. Will be an impressive building to stare up at.

99 Hudson on the right. The wide hipped, busty J-Lo. (Jersey City-Lower Manhattan) skyline that is. Some forget that Jersey City is really a long time ex of NYC. They got separated due to a debate on who has better pizza. The restraining order is the Hudson River. But every once in a while, the kids get to visit (PATH commuters).

Got separated cause they argued over who had better pizza? Is that actually true?

That cemetary might as well include plots for folks who died and went to heaven looking at the cityscape.

Actually, it was the sensory overload from the skyline that killed them. Did you know that magnitude of the skyline when viewed is the lead cause of broken facial bones for people age 18-45? Typically, it causes the bone mass to severely weaken in the jaw or mandible, and as a result, it falls onto the floor and shatters causing multiple fractures. Sometimes, irrecoverable.

Not to worry, there are treatment centers. They are called Kansas and North Dakota.

Of course its true. Why do you think Lewis and Clark fled west? They were exiled for their blasphemy of NY pizza. They then went to the city of Chicago, and started their own deep dish pizza. Unfortunately, history has shown that the real pizza is here. The thinner, the smoother the cheese is, and the sauce is what its about. NYC water is rich in the ingredients to make the perfect sauce.
