Interesting Facts/Records (in own words):
The church had at time of completion a 106.1 metres tall tower. In 1467, this tower was destroyed by fire.
From 1479 to 1513, it was replaced by a smaller tower. On June 8th, 1613, the pinnacle of this tower was destroyed by fire. In 1692, it got a pinnacle in barock style.
This pinnacle was replaced by a new pinnacle in Gothic Revival style in 1903/1904, which let grew its height to 96.5 metres.
In 1945 Salvatorkirche Duisburg was heavily damaged at air raids and its tower destroyed. It was rebuilt after World War II without its Gothic Revival style pinnacle with a spireless tower with a height of 62.5 metres
