Vancouver Revisited

This was my first visit back to Vancouver since I moved away just over a month ago. And being back really made me want to move there again!
So here's some pics from a variety of areas taken last weekend.
Enjoy!

Taken on Commercial Drive, with the cherry blossoms in full bloom:

Apartment in the West End:

Another West End apartment, this one much older:

English Bay:

A popular photo subject but my first snap:

New imitates old:

A flower shop on Davie:

Community garage sale:

Old mansion converted into a restaurant:

A nice row of old restored wood framed houses right downtown:

I stopped for lunch at the Morrissey. Great food and a cool place for music aficionados like myself, but my party were the only ones eating there at the time:

Driving into downtown earlier that day:

Condos are being built on this site but the old Homer is being kept:

Some good ol' Vancouver grit:

Gastown streetscape:

From Gastown looking west:

Some major restoration work:

Street level of the major Woodwards project:

Sun Tower, one of my faves:

Sun Tower detail:

Looking down Beatty Street:

Beatty street looking the other way towards Sun Tower:

Yaletown:

Some more Yaletown streetscape shots:

Thanks for stopping by!!

nice tour, it looks pretty futuristic. a few shots remind me of Atlanta...the old houses and new infill/fixed up low rises.

Nice work entheosfog...that shot of the community garage sale looks to be on the corner of Davie and Jervis, if so, I lived across the street back in 02 and it was a weekly thing even then. What a great area to be in on a beautiful spring day, I miss it for sure.

Thanks! Yeah, that was the location. And it was the perfect spring day when I was there.
